wow...ok that is slow. hmmm.

Well it looks like it maybe the driver for that card...I would switch cards. Meaning go get a good realtech based card.

However if that is not an option, or you just want to give this a go. I need some more info about your network. How are you connected to the internet? Through another computer, router, hub, switch?

Tell me what you want to do.

Let's discuss both options.

First, there are no Linux drivers for that card. I searched the Linksys website and even called support.

By "realtech", what do you mean? How would I find a realtech card, and/or tell the difference between it and a non-realtech one?

I'm connected to a router which itself is connected directly to the internet.

Thanks,

Shoal

Well there are *no* drivers written by the folks at Linksys for that card, but the tulip driver (written by the open source community) is the linux driver.

Sorry about not being clear in the last post, but RealTech is a brand of cards. I have always had good luck with them. Lots of cards are based on the RealTech 8139 chipset. I would look in the paper or at newegg.com and frind a card you like and then find out what chipset it is and findout how well it is supported by googleing.
