Intel icc/ifc under Slack 9.1 will not install ??

Has anyone succeeded in installing icc with glibc v.2.3.2?
I get a segfault during the install:

What rpm install options would you like? [-U --replacefiles]
-ivh --nodeps

Intel(R) C++ Compiler for 32-bit applications, Version 7.1 Build 20030922Z
Installing...
./install: line 577: 7022 Segmentation fault rpm $OPTIONS $PREFIX $CHOSENRPM >&$TEMPFILE.rpmout
Preparing... ##################################################
Installation failed.

I get the same error message if I attempt to install the individual
rpms by hand....

I was able to install icc under Slack 9.0 and glibc v.2.3.1.
But not this time?? Does anyone know why the segfault is being generated
and how to fix it?

Thanks,
Wootle

Exactly the same problem here. If anyone knows how to solve this, please reply. I'm new to slackware, used SuSE before.

The problem is with the Slackware 9.1 version of rpm.
which appears to be buggy. f you replace it with the
Slackware-current rpm then the problem should go
away. It did for me :-)
