Cool c++/intel icc


Hi,
i need a c++ compiler and was recommended to get me intel icc6.0. i'm not sure whether that will run on my amd athlon. amd is not exactly intel, is it? any experience or knowlegde? or different recommendations? thanks a lot in advance!

It should work, I think. It's the same architecture. Both use the same instructions, they differ only in extensions. In any good compiler you can specify how to compile (and also to use extensions or not).
