Installing Konqueror and KDE error, saying can't find QT.
It seems that I have installed QT correctly, but when trying to install kde or konqueror, saying that can't find QT library.
when Installing Konqueror, do ./configure error message is below:
configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 2.2.2) (library qt) not found. Please check your installation!
when Installing Kdesdk, do ./configure error message is below:
configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.3 and < 4.0) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!
Now I feel confused since I have installed QT correctly according to its INSTALL guideline.
I have installed QT in /user/local/qt-3.3.6 and my bash file for this part is below:
export KDEDIR=/work/andy/work/stb/konqueror/kdesdk-3.5.6
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$QTDIR/lib:$KDEDIR/lib:LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$QTDIR/bin:$KDEDIR/bin:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
export LIBRARY_PATH=$QTDIR/lib:$KDEDIR/lib:LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$QTDIR/bin:$KDEDIR/bin:$LIBRARY_PATH
export QTDIR=/usr/local/qt-3.3.6
export PATH=$QTDIR/bin:$PATH
export MANPATH=$QTDIR/doc/man:$MANPATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$QTDIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
I don't know why Kdesdk and konqueror can't find my QT library. I have tried to debug its configure file, since it is too complex and large and very difficult to debug.
Thanks in advance for those who are very pleasure to help me. Any help will be appreciated. This troubleshooting problem has caused me headaches for many days.
