Installing Firebird on a new LTSP server

I have just put together an LTSP network (12 clients) and I want to fine tune my server. I would like to replace the regular Mozilla with Firebird so it will be faster to open on the terminals.
How do I do that? I have never installed any software on a RedHat so please help me. After that, I should be able to fly on my own (like TUX ???) for a while.
Thanks.

Just remove mozilla (you may have some dependecies):

Then download firebird - extract it and folllow the instructions:

I have built it and used an rpm. I got flakey results with the built version. Here is a link to the rpm:

http://dag.wieers.com/packages/mozilla-firebird/

then just (as root cd to the dir where you dl'd to and

rpm -Uvh mozilla-firebird.blah.blah.rpm
