Installation Firestarter Problem

Hi Guys,
I've been reading this site for a while now and must say you do an excellent job helping others in need, keep up the good work. With that out of the way I have a problem of my own.

I am learning how to use Linux more and more each day but I appear to be having some troubles with dependencies.

I am using Mandrake 9.0 and trying to install Firestart v0.8.3-1 RPM but keep getting the following error message

Conflicts were detected:

libpanel_status.so.0 is needed by firestarter-0.8.3-1

Install Aborted

I thought no worries I'll just go find the file, I tried looking at
installing the package via the control center but it wasn't found so I
then hopped on over to RPMfind which also didn't find it.

Being a real n00b at this kind of thing I am at a bit of a loss as to
why I am having such a hard time finding a file.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
Darren

It seems that libpanel_status.so.0 is part of the gnome-core package.

Using Gnome as my chosen GUI, I thought that would of been apart of the package? Obviously not.

well your not using gnome... you're using gnome2, which is different. get the 0.9 branch of firestarter which is for gnome 2.
