I am having a problem installing my Linux Cds. I am trying to install SuSE Linux 9.0. Disk 1 installed with no problems. Disk 2 istalled 90% of the packages but htdig-3.16 and ITCL-3.3 failed. I have tried to skip these in the Yasta and go on to install the other Cds, but the system will not allow me to do so.
Can anyone tell me how to skip onto the next Cd or how I can install the failed packages. I am new to Linux and havn't got a clue what I'm doing. I have managed to get a GUI and desktop environment.

problems that are similar to this, usually because of a CDR that I damaged myself through carelessness. In addition to your GUI, do you also have a working internet connection? If so, you should be able to connect to a Suse site somewhere that will allow you do download and install any additional packages that you may want/need. Most modern linuxes have some sort of provision for this, although I do not know exactly where to direct you for Suse (I´m a Mandrake guy).

If you have an internet connection, and cannot seem to figure out Suse´s package manager, a decent search engine could probably point you in the right direction

I hve donloaded the files and saved them to cd disk ( using a windows xp computer)

But I do not know how to instal them on my Linux computer (SuSe)
