It failed to configure, so that's why make failed. It says that you need the curses/termcap library.

You can install mysql as an rpm off of the Linux install disks. Or do you need that specific version of mysql?

I've compiled and installed MySQL 4.0.13 on redhat 9 and I had no problems. I've installed practically all the modules when it asked me during the OS installation, don't know if that helps.
