After a failled install in linux for win i can´t load the grafic mode after the login window i get error and console is all i get with some letters on i don´t the meanig ,and how to solve the problem ?

the second gets repited several times .

it looks like it's trying to shut down the system without unmounting any drives.

what program or package, and on which o/s, is it exactly that you're trying to install?

the pc was working on win 98se then i install mandrake 8.0 using lnx4win comand it was working real fine , but a couple days ago i try to install a c progam compiler and it didn´t work (a error come up) after that when i boot win it goes for safe mode (no it´s back to normal) but when i try to but up linux after the login window when enter a user or root and the pass it does not load gives error the only way it works is on console mode but it doesn´t shutdown and i only know 7 or 8 comands ,cause of that i can´t do anything from console mode
