Hplip??? ...cups?

Does anyone have experience with HPLIP? How does it co-exist with CUPS?

How can you use it to scan but use CUPS to print?

It's pretty much the toolbox - it links to xsane for scanning and to cups for printing. It's a frontend and also a set of drivers. To set it up, follow the instructions on the site: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install.html

As a Slacker, you'll find these instructions helpful: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web...slackware.html
