how to uninstall rpm [i'm newbie]

I would like to uninstall modem driver
I use command
" rpm -qa|grep modem"
so it appear msg
"hsflinmodem-4.06.06.02-1"
so i use command
"rpm -e hsflinmodem-4.06.06.02-1"
so it appear msg
" /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.60466:line 2: /usr/sbin/hsfconfig:No such file or directory
error : %preun(hsflinmodem-4.06.06.02-1) script let failed,exit status 127"
i remerbered that I deleted /urs/sbin/hsfconfig
what should I do to uninstall hsflinmodem
I can't install another modem because it conflict with old modem

From the output you posted it looks like the pre-uninstall script of the rpm is failing. Try unstalling that rpm with an additional option of "--noscripts":

# rpm --noscripts -e hsflinmodem-4.06.06.02-1

if that dousnt work, run 'touch /usr/sbin/hsfconfig/' and then run rpm again/
