how to uninstall???


How would i uninstall a program...say xcdroast for example, when i was using mandrake everything was in rpms so was easy....but not sure about tarballs...thanks

Usually it's as easy as a:
make uninstall

Other times you might have to locate the binaries and libs associated with the progam and remove them by hand.

If you installed it and it was a Slackware package (.tgz) then you can uninstall with pkgtool
