How to run flash files in firefox (Probably simple question)

I have flash player 9 running in Mepis antix 6.5. Fluxbox running.

When a flash file is on a page all that is displayed is a black box with a small arrow, a +, and an X in the upper righ hand corner of each box. If I click on the X in the box then the flash file/movie plays. I don't want to have to do this each time. What setting am I missing ?

Which version of Flash do you have installed? Is AdBlock (or similar) or FlashBlock installed?

Flash Player 9.0.

But I think it's probably a Firefox setting as flash movies play when I click on the small X.

I found it. Apparently I have Media player Connectivity addon installed. i disabled it and all is better . Thanks
