So one or 2 of my shared libraries are corrupted in my current Linux installation and i need to know how to regenerate them.

Is there a command i can use to regenerate all my libraries?

Please provide more information: What distro/version are you running and what are the libraries in question?

I suspect that you cannot "regenerate" rather, you likely will have to download them.

More information is needed: how can a library become "corrupted," since it is a read-only file?

You should be able to find which package contains the library, and force-reinstall that package. But this entire situation requires much more thorough inquiry as to how it happened. Please tell us all that you know ... details, details.

Yes, but the way to do it varies widely from one distribution to another. What distribution are you using?

Most distros will give you the option to reinstall them from the repository.

Knowing your distribution and the specific library that got "corrupted" would be good first steps.
