Question can we regenerate public key from private key

Hi guys,
A quick question: can we regenerate the public key from an existing private key?

Just got the answer from my colleage:
-y
This option will read a private OpenSSH format file and print an OpenSSH public key to stdout.

ssh-keygen -y -f private-key
