how to edit VGA mode ?


if i boot in linux as text mode,
at the prompt, how to edit and change my VGA setting?
such as choosing VGA card, resolution mode etc.

thanks.

It's almost Thursday here so my bet is that you are trying out SuSE after abandoningyour previous distribution choices. My guess is that you will probably try out LFS by the weekend and declare it not to your liking

Anyhowz... In SuSE you would set up your xwindows video modes using 'sax2' (for XFree 4.1.x and up) and 'sax' for previous versions.

my onboard VGA from VIA teachnology,
i'm afraid redhat has no driver to support it!!!
