How to disable default sounds from KDE

I am using KDE and simulatneously listening to songs using mpg123 as
the player. However, I tend to keep my headphones on all the time. Now
comes the real problem.

Whenever I switch across desktops, close windows, minimize them,
resize them, launch new applications - there are system sounds. And
these are really annoying to me. How can I do away with these system
sounds ?

Regards
Ritesh

Hi Ritesh,

Start your KDE Control Panel, go to Sound & Multimedia -> System Notifications.

In the middle of the screen there's an area called Quick Controls. Check "Apply to all applications" and then click "Turn off sounds"

Alternatively, you can turn the volume down on all system sounds so that you only hear them weakly in the background. To do this, click the "More Options" button, then "Player Settings" and slide the volume control way down. This way you won't jump out of your chair everytime there's a system sound..
