How do you manually create samba shares?
I'm trying to create shares and configure the workgroup for one of my linux machines. I can't find a program built into the GUI that has a samba configuration utility. I created a samba user via smbpasswd -a "user". How can I create shares from the command line? I've manually edited shares into the smb.conf file but want to know if their is a command line equivalent. Basically my windows machine can only see the shares on my linux laptop if I connect via the IP address. It can't see the workgroup like my other linux box shows up in the nonya workgroup. Any ideas? Thanks.
