how do i install printer drivers with package manager on Mint 10

Hi guys I am trying to install epson printer and scanner drivers for epson all-in -one SX130 in mint 10.I have the two drivers on a memory stick which i think are the correct drivers.they could also be installed by using the terminal,but that is far away from any knowledge I might have picked up.Would it be easier with mint 12?

Follow this link to the Linux Printing Database, then follow the link for CUPS instructions.

That should get you started. If you experience problems, come back with the error messages.

I think mint has a tool called system-config-printer that might be worth a try. Otherwise, install cups, and enter it via your browser at http://localhost:631
