I own a mac and I wanted to use some of the cool icons. But on my ubunut box I can't open the .ico files. does anyone have any suggestions how to do this?
Aaargh There ain't no thing in the world that's "not working". - Instead, please be more specific: "I was using application that1 (version), did that2 (steps), expected these3 results, but the application returned that4 (literal error message / list of options presented vs. option needed / etc.)
- Just as a guess, ICO files can store images in coexisting sizes, i.e., 16x16, 32x32. And I'm not sure how GIMP handles this with existing ICO files. At any rate, you can create any image, and then store it as *.ICO with the GIMP.
