Lightbulb How can give ROOT permission to a NORMAL USER


Dear friends,
How can i give the root permission to a normal user ?
Or can i create a user with root previlages

I had tried with chaning userid in /etc/passwd (the id into 0)
But it didnt work

Kindly help

You don't want to create a normal user with root permissions for the same reason you don't want to do all your normal day-to-day tasks as root: one slip and you can easily mess things up. If you're trying to remove a folder with "rm -rf" and accidentally hit the space bar, you can end up wiping your entire system with no way to get it back (without a backup). The best bet is to use a normal user account with normal user permissions, and either use the "su" command to become root temporarily when doing tasks that require those permissions, or use sudo to accomplish the same thing.
