High Xorg 6.8.2 CPU Load

A question about normality as regards to Xorg: How high does the load tend to go? Currently, my Xorg takes up a whopping 22-36% of user space resources, and about 5-10% of system resources. What alarms me is that Xorg wasn't hogging resources this much up until a few days ago. So, the question arises: how can I lower the load? I've got Xorg 6.8.2 and KDE 3.4 running on AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (Which clocks around 1.7 gHz) and an NVIDIA GeForce 4 MMX. My distribution is the latest version MepisLinux, and it is fitted with the latest drivers from Mepis.
Please help, and thank you in advance.

Edit: Ah, I figured it out myself. The problem was with the Bittornado GUI. Having more than one of those open would somehow shoot the load through the roof. Sorry about acting too hastily...
