Help -- nforce2 drivers

I have an ati 9600 pro and an nforce2 chipset for a 9.1 mandrake install. Im having alot of kernel and deamon errors, and a guy on irc told me i need to install the nvidia drivers first, but i didnt and installed the ati drivers first. I should of because the errors are saying that my agp 9600 pro is PCI! Im installing the nvidia drivers now and its not working. I dont know how to strip down the .run installer to get the modules because the installer says source/kernel mismatch (which im sure its not) and it cant find the source. Im having alot of trouble just to keep this thing stable so i can use it for school. Ive been up for 13 hours working on this thing going in and out of rl 3 and x11 trying to figure something out.

if you know how to strip the .run installer to get the module, or anything else enlightning, please post something, anything lol - tia- chris

The kernel version mismatch most likely refers to the kernel source you have installed isn't the exact same version that your running kernel.

You will also need to load the nvidia-agp module before loading the ATI fglrx driver.

where would the exact kernel source be for 9.1 mandrake, and what directory should i be in while attempting to run the installer. Its asking for /lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/drivers/net directory for the kernel source. ive tried so many things i even extracted the run file to a directory with everything out of it, but i wouldnt know how to manually install the module. Nvidia says to deactivate the nic and i used ifdown eth0 and supposivily it was down (i checked it with *itchX and i couldnt goto a server). I did all this in RL 3 or init 3. If i installed the ati driver first, could it have modified my kernel, could that be why it says kernel/source mismatch? -- please help me -- i need this to be stable for class -- tia -- chris

id need agp module for nvidia vid cards for a system with an nvidia mobo and ati vid card? i recompiled my kernel, is there a better way to take off the ati installer crap because i think the installer modified the kernel and thats why i keep having the error with the nvidia mobo installer. thanks again - chris.
