Exclamation HELP!!! KDE no longer works after installing GLIBC

Hi All,

URGENT!!!, any help is greatly appreciated.

Mandriva 2006. After installing GLIBC 2.4 KDE looked kind of frozen so rebooted the PC. Now, I'm no longer taken to KDE when I reboot my PC (which I had set by default). It now takes me to ICEWM.

I searched my filesystem and can't find "startkde", so obviously something went wrong with that GLIBC install.

How should I proceed? I really need to get KDE back up and running.

Thanks in advance
Marc

Can you reinstall the original glibc? Like boot a liveCD, chroot into your root file system, and install the original glibc package?
