Wine runs basic windows software, for more advanced software better go for Codeweavers Crossoffice,

or check the Wine program database, if ur prg wil work or not, they also contain instructions how to make it work.

Check out also Frank's Corner for some tutorials about getting Windows applications to run under Linux with Wine. I would say, stay away from Wine. It causes much more pain then it is worth. Get a native Linux program and use Wine when nothing else work (still, I should not use that)... Here is a handy table of equivalents Linux - Windows applications.

Good luck!

What is AOL? Is it an instant messenger? Because Gaim supports it . Did you check the table of equivalents?

http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialAOL.html should help.

Remember, not only is www.google.com your friend, www.google.com/linux could be an even better one.
