GUI problem on CentOS 5.3 (no Xorg process running)

Hello there,

I've installed a fresh copy of CentOS on friday and all was working fine.
I've configured a few scripts on it and it was still working fine after that.

Today however I turned it on and there is just a very basic X gui. No taskbar, no wallpaper, no fancy menues.

Login screen:

Desktop:

I noticed there is no more Xorg process running now.

Thanks for your answer,
I've decided to reformat and reinstall centos a bit before you answered though.
Working fine now so I've made a backup of the config files if it ever happens again

For future reference you could've tried (in runlevel 3).

Code:
root@host# system-config-display
