gtkpod - sync problem

I just bought an ipod mini and i'm trying to use it with my suse 9.0 operating system.

I've mounted the ipod using a firewire connection with no problem. gtkpod was able to pull information about songs I loaded using my windows evironment. However, when I try to upload a mp3 file using gtkpod 0.72 I get the following error:

"Could not open file "/mnt/ipod/iPod_Control/Music/f14/gtkpod00066.mp3" for writing."

I've gone to that directory and actually wrote a file to it so i don't think its a security issue.
I've also gone to the gtkpod website and couldn't find any information regarding that error. Anyone know where to begin.

i'm having the same problem. I don't know why it is trying to write to those specific folders since those folders contain only music.
