I wanted to get rid of the SUSE Linux 10.1 OS so I deleted all Linux partitions thinking it was the right way to do it. Now at reboot I get a "GRUB error 22". Ho do I fix this. Thanks :-))))
Hi fidodido1966,
You wanted to get rid of SuSE Linux 10.1 and do what? Can you give some more details?
If it is a fresh installation of another distribution that you want to do then, go ahead and install it after repartitioning and formatting the way you want to.
I have windows already installed and I just want that on the machine. That's why I deleted non-windows partitions.

I wanted to get rid of the SUSE Linux 10.1 OS so I deleted all Linux partitions thinking it was the right way to do it. Now at reboot I get a "GRUB error 22". I still have Windows installed. I want to keep it and I don't want to have to reinstall it. In other words I just want Windows to boot as it used to before I installed Linux. How do I fix this. Thanks :-))))
Really, you could have done a search for this as it's very common. You need to boot from your Windows CD, enter the recovery console and run "fixmbr". This is for XP and is probably different for other versions of Windows.
Edit: sigh, I wish I'd checked first to see if you'd posted it before. Reporting for double post.
