grey screen for vnc desktop

hi,

I am using Debian 5.0.2. I wanted to configure VNC server on it. I installed vnc4server. When starting 'vnc4server', it displayed one log,

Quote:

vncext: VNC extension running!
vncext: Listening for VNC connections on port 5901
vncext: created VNC server for screen 0
Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/, removing from list!

/root/.vnc/xstartup has the following contents

Quote:
xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
gnome-session
But, when I try to connect through RealVNC using 'ipaddress:1',

A grey screen with window 'This session is runing as a privileged user' comes. When I hit 'Continue' screen freezes. Can someone tell how to get the desktop.

Thanks in advance.
uv.

have you checked your vncconfig in ~/.vnc? Please post.
Also this may be of some interest to you https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gksu/+bug/23917
