Grass cannot find mysql


I have installed MySQL-4.1.11-1mdk from mandriva cds and it works fine. I have the following files

I want to configure grass6 with mysql but it looks for a file mysql.h which doesn't exist
How can I make grass find mysql libraries???
Is there something else I need to install?

you need mysql-devel etc...

I have installed mysql-devel.
Is there a way i can tell grass that mysql.sock is located at /var/lib/mysql and not at /tmp??
