GnuCash and printing

Hi all

I just installed a Samsung scx-4100 - runs like a charm under Linux and fairly easy and quick for set-up. Ran into a problem with my GnuCash program. When trying to print a report under GnuCash, the options are generic lpr printer, I click that, and then I get a menu for printing by the scx-4100 printer, I hit the print button, and the menu disappears. The print manager also remains blank. So I think I may need to configure either GnuCash or the 4100. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your system probably is set up to use cups to print. If GnuCash can be set up to use cups instead of lpr to print try printing using cups.

thank you - I sort of had that thought also, but I'm not sure how to proceed. I checked out the config file, but it was empty. I have been able to print to PDF and then the PDF prints out, but while that works it seems rather tedious and not really the way the program should work

Thanks again

Bill
