Does anyone know if it's possible to set the terminal background color in gnu screen?
My job requires that I often need to use many different computers, and I think it would be really useful if--whenever I reattach my existing screen session from any computer--I could have the same terminal background color.

Typically that's taken care of in the xterm or putty session itself.
Yes, but that does not help me if I am constantly using different computers. GNU screen can control terminal capabilities and can be re-attached from different terminals, so if it can change background color, then it solves my problem.
