Gnome-Shell Crashes when I open the file manager Ubuntu 13.04

I recently installed Ubuntu 13.04 Gnome on my laptop. Previous to this I had been using Fedora. For some reason, when I open the file manager, the gnome-shell will occasionally crash. Sometimes it will recover itself, sometimes it won't. This happened in 12.10 under the gnome-shell as well, but only after I would update Nautilus to the most recent version. Under Fedora, however, with the gnome-shell and most recent Nautilus, I never had this problem. Any way to fix this? For an additional detail, I'm letting the file manager handle the desktop.

Ok so I am pretty much going to tell you what they did here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1380964

Can you run

Code:
nautilus
from the terminal.

Then use it till it crashes so everyone can check it out, also provide any screenshots when this happens?

In the above link I pasted they had an issue where photos used were inkscape pics saved as .jpg in the folder. This might not be the problem however, notice where in Nautilus, (what folder path and what files are in that folder) are causing it to crash.

Then move or remove those files and try again. Test and see what triggers the crash.

It crashes when I open the application from the gnome-shell, which goes straight to the home folder. It only happens on occasion, so I'm not sure what causes it.
