Gnome: .ISO not bootable

Look I've just formatted my old Windows 2000 NT computer and I want Linux to be the system, so I downloaded the Gnome 2.10 LiveCD and I got the following files, which I burned over to a CD:

gnome-livecd-2.10.0.iso
gnome-livecd-2.10.0.iso.md5

But when I start the Booting Setup and set it to boot from CD, it doesn't let me do it, because it says that it's not bootable.

Please help me urgent!

From what you say, it sounds like youve burned it as a data cd. To burn a bootable cd you need to use the option in your software called something like burn image to disk, this will burn the data exactly how it appears in the file, this is needed so the information for booting the cd ends up in the right place on the disk. The md5 file is a checksum and is used to make sure your download went ok, if you dont know what to do with it then ignore it for now.
