Has someone been able to sucessfully compile Galeon 1.2.11 with the just released Mozilla 1.4 and Red Hat 9.0 ?
Upon running the makefile, I get a number of missing file errors and it bombs. I do have a version of mozilla 1.4 souce in the /usr/include/mozilla directory
If anyone has had some luck, please discuss how you did it.
The missing files were mostly header files from the mozilla sources. I'm going to go ahead and try 1.3.5.
So far, the RPM's do not work properly and crash out. I've downloaded the source, and it looks like I need to go and upgrade to gnome2.2 which is my current task.
I got tired of getting gnome2.2 installed, so I went back to the stable releases of galleon. So here are my problems.
I run
./configure --with-mozilla-snapshot=1.4
make
and then here is a sample of the errors
In file included from mozilla.cpp:21:
mozilla.h:297:20: nscore.h: No such file or directory
mozilla.h:298:26: nsIDOMWindow.h: No such file or directory

mozilla.h:308: `domWindow' was not declared in this scope
mozilla.h:309: parse error before `*' token
mozilla.h:311: syntax error before `*' token
and so forth...
It only compiles a few files before I get these errors.
