Gaim CVS/SVN with no Avatars (buddy icons)

Through an odd course of events, I compiled Gaim 2.0 svn previously (about a week ago) and suddenly my old Gaim 1.5.1cvs installation had gmail's gTalk icons showing up (where previously they had not).

Now, I compiled I just compiled Gaim from SVN/CVS today (Revision: 17423) on another machine and this time no avatars/icons are showing up for anything (MSN/Yahoo/Jabber/gTalk). I just downloaded and compiled it normally, except that I disabled the consolueui, because it was having some odd error about no make target for libgnt.

Code:
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `../../../console/libgnt/libgnt.la', needed by `s.la'.
Does anyone have any ideas why I have no avatars in my gaim?
