Gaim 0.70

Hello everyone,

Gaim has released 0.70 version. Has anyone tried it. If so how does it work with Yahoo?

As of 9/29/03 at 7:03 AM (PST), I was able to log onto my Yahoo account. Unfortunately I have no buddies on Yahoo to test if I was REALLY online.

if you look at the homepage http://gaim.sf.net these questions are clearly answered. why wait for someone to personally reply when it's already on their own site?

I had a wierd problem with mine. It just won't open. Installed and everything, just won't open. Try to re-install in case I was trippin, but it says it's installed.

May be just me, not the software.

Well, if I've asked it's because I did not find any answers. Their faq is very dated (0.60 I believe and still supporting gaim 0.59) and apparently they are only working on Jabber and AIM... But as I said, this is related to ver.0.60. If you could point a link would be more helpful then pointing to an address that I already know . Again, if File Transfer through ICQ and MSN is a supported feature, I would be very happy if somebody tells me how to do it or point to an useful link...

Thanks

GAIM FAQ

Can Gaim send files?

TOC can, in a limited way, and OSCAR can send files over AIM in 0.60 and higher. Most protocols are capable of it, but Gaim hasn't implemented anything yet. Support is being worked on and may partially work for MSN and Jabber.

When will file transfer be supported? Is it being worked on?

Gaim 0.60 includes preliminary file transfer support. It likely contains a few bugs that will be fixed in time. Currently, Gaim supports sending and receiving files via AIM, receiving files via Jabber and IRC. File transfer receive code exists for MSN, but it is very flakey, and files are often corrupt. If you would like support for another protocol, get CVS and submit a patch using the generic file transfer API.

File Transfer for xxxx doesn't seem to be working.

File transfer for all protocols is still buggy. This is being worked on, but has no set date for completion.
