fsck --rebuild-tree does not work


Im running suse 10, i enter 'fsck --rebuild-tree' and it does not work. i get 'invalid open --e' and information about options avalible. k

Wow, thanks for all that awesome information. What file syste, are you using? I'm not 100% on this but I think --rebuild-tree is a reiserfs thing, if you're using reiser try reiserfsck --rebuild-tree.

I would guess Reiser as well.

If so, you would need to do:

reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/device

I run debian , with reiserfs ... but my rebuild-tree wont finish , and it says 'bad rootblock 0' ... any ideas how to fix this rootblock error ?
without formatting the drive as i really need the stuff that is on it


here it shows dm-31 with good working hdd , and this dm-21 with bad hdd

I have tried all I can now , and I am really stuck... please help me :P


also when running --rebuild-tree : No reiserfs metadata found
