is reiserfsck --rebuild-tree safe for the HDD files?

I wanted to check my hdd for bad sectors and blocks so i runned reiserfsck --check, but it tells me i need to run rebuild-tree first.....

Is there a chance i will loose my files?

try man reiserfsck
