Framebuffer Off Screen

Well, I just rebuilt my kernel with Framebuffer support and fbcon and all that goodness. I'm hoping to get bootsplash working eventually. Anyway, my framebuffer consoles have the first column and a half of characters off the left side of the screen. If I adjust my screen back to uhh.. "fitting", then X is screwed up all the way on the right.

Anyone have thoughts on this? If I can fix it, I'll sacrifice fbcon to X.

What resolution are you running the framebuffer at? It should be possible to change the resolution that framebuffer runs. You can do that by appending an arguement to the kernel through your bootloader, though the format depends on what framebuffer driver you are using.
