Fedora 9 initrd

This weekend I have been messing around a little with the boot process, and found myself inspecting the default initrd shipped with Fedora.

Where are all of the commands listed in the init script kept? Some that I do not recognize which are not found on the nash man page are setuproot and loadpolicy.

(See http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux...general/323223 for examples).

Thanks for your help, as these commands seem to be popping up out of thin air.

What the init starts in Fedora depends on the runlevel, content of the /etc/inittab file and initscripts located in the /etc/rc.d.Commands usually used in bash scripts are located in the /bin and /sbin directories.setuproot and loadpolicy are shell scripts, not commands.

I agree with what you are saying. The one thing though is that I am not able to find out where the shell scripts setuproot and loadpolicy are located.

I searched my entire drive, including the init script (which is .cpio.gz), but did not find these executables available anywhere.
