Unhappy FC4 mounting issue

I'm having a problem where a volume is getting auto mounted at the wrong mount point

I have a line in /etc/fstab for it where it is defined as noauto, but it still gets automounted.

/etc/fstab
/dev/hda1 /mnt/xfs2 xfs noauto,user 0 0

/etc/mtab
/dev/hda1 /mnt/xfs xfs rw 0 0

so basically I want it mounted at /mnt/xfs2, but it gets mounted at /mnt/xfs

Can anyone think of any places where noauto is getting overridden?

Or any way to track down what is mounting it?

TIA

umount /mnt/xfs
rmdir /mnt/xfs

hope it won't do it automatically again

Are you using an automount daemon? May be check its
configuration files. [I don't use any]

Thank you so much. Such a simple solution and I never thought of it, but it worked!

I've been wrestling with this on and off for about a year now. Most of the time I just accepted I would have to manually fix it after every reboot!
