FALCONS EYE (nethack) FAILS ON STARTUP, use to work, wont work even after reinstall


has this happend to anyone ever? it is drivin me crazy! i love falcons eye, but now it doesnt work when i try to run it, it starts up and i see the starting screen then it drops out
i am using debian
i have apt-get install/removed it so many times.
any advice PLEASE?
when i run it in a terminal it says ........to many hacks running now.
but when i do a pstop it doenst say one is running
