fake idents & ezbounce

Hi,

I tried psyBNC, and didnt like it - tho it is easy to set up and use. Now I'm using ezbounce which I personally prefer, but I need help with setting up the fake idents.
I've read about mdidentd etc, but the supplied readme only has an example for using with inetd and not xinetd, further is says inetd must be used. Though I figure that as xinetd is just 'upgraded' inetd it'll work fine, right?
But it leaves me still wondering the configurations to run mdidentd and xinetd.
However.. I'm using oidentd as my current ident daemon, though this does not run from xinetd - would lead to the configuration file being read too often or some such

So here I am wondering what's the best way forward.. I's like to get ezbounce running fake idents, I don't mind having to change ident daemons, or even bnc tbh, so long as I end up with a fake-identable-dccable bnc & simple secure ident daemon.

Lectures, advice pointers and links all welcome
