I recently ran
update manager and got the following error report.
Code:
linux-backports-hardy-modules depends on linux-backports-hard-modules-generic(=2.6.24.26.28); however:
linux-backports-hard-modules-generic is not configured yet.
dpkg error processing linux-backports-hardy (--configure)
dependency problems -- leaving unconfigured
I am running the kernel v2.6.22 as built for my EmporerLinux tablet workstation. While the newer kernel (=2.6.24-26) has been loaded during a previous update manager session, I have yet to boot this kernel for several reasons.
Could someone please explain what these messages are trying to tell me?
One of the reasons that I have not run the newer kernel lies in the fact that I do not have the corresponding
initrd.img file for either the -386 or -generic build.
Thanks,
