Question Error installing XZ Utils

Hello,

I am very new on Linux. I have Ubuntu 16.04 LTS installed and I want to install XZ Utils but I get an error when I try to do it. Can you help me telling me what I am doing wrong? or what is missing me?

I execute this three shell commands:

./configure
make
make install

After executing make install I get this:

armi@armi-VirtualBox:~/Downloads/xz-5.2.2$ make install

Wrong. Must be $ sudo make install

? But why not use the Ubuntu package :
$ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install xz-utils
