configure.ac:53: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_PROG_MKDIR_P

About v4l-utils errors :
1) You can get the bug free source code here
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool...8.orig.tar.bz2

2) Looks like you will have to install libtool, gettext(-devel), glibc-devel.
( And update automake ? )

Which OS are you using ?

.

OK, I did try a couple of the "v4l-utils-<dc959f7>.tar.bz2" from
http://git.linuxtv.org/v4l-utils.git yesterday,
.. and got similar errors.
One OS some "configure.ac:45: error: possibly undefined macro: A*" error.
Another OS, another error, but none as extensive as yours.

Did you try using the bug free source
'v4l-utils/v4l-utils_0.9.0~test8.orig.tar.bz2' ?

And : If you want more answers, the Linux OS must be specified,
like CentOS 6.3, Fedora 17, Ubuntu 12.04, etc. :

Hi

Thanks for your support, The patch 'v4l-utils/v4l-utils_0.9.0~test8.orig.tar.bz2' didn't work.
actually the problem was I didn't had autoconfig package.
now compilation is ok.
for Autoconfig one should have latest in-developement source code from git clone "git://git.sv.gnu.org/autoconf"

now run "autoconf configure.ac", it will generate a configure script then run the script which will creat makefile in every required folder of you source code.

Thanks
