emacs for C++

howdy~

i'm trying to edit c++ file with emacs, but it seems what default in emacs did not satisfy me much, and unfortunately i can find nowhere to fix them. i'd appreciate if anyone could help.

1 indent size is only 2 spaces ??? how can i fix it ???

2 highlight color is not that good, i want to replace some of them.

3 how can i connect compiler with emacs to compiler current c++ file(automatically, if possible) ???

here is some advice, all you have to do is search for .emacs. There is so much information out there...

google(web/groups): .emacs
google(web): dotemacs

There are a lot of sites. You are better off learning out to cut and paste that stuff.. Because once you start messing with .emacs it will become an obession. EMacs can play music or make coffee, itis pretty incredible.
