dynamic ldif files
hi,
i have a small problem, well it isnt realy a problem but more of an annoyance. every time my internet connection reconnects i have a difrent IP address and i have to change all the a record entrys in bind. all the entrys in bind are stored under LDAP so i creat an ldif file to modify the entrys in LDAP using the following command
ldapmodify -x -W -D "cn=Administrator,dc=berrancenetworks,dc=co,dc=uk" -f /modify.ldif
a sample of my ldif file is below
dn: zoneName=berrancenetworks.co.uk,ou=DNS,dc=berrancenetworks,dc=co,dc=uk
changetype: modify
replace: aRecord
aRecord: ip address
what i want do do is as the tittle suggests is create a dynamic ldif file if such a thing is possible, so where ever i need to put my ip address in i would put the viarable $my_ip and the viarable is defined at te top of the ldif file so i only have to change that.
thanks for any input
