du error

Has anyone ever seen a negative # response to the input command

du (disk usage).

I am getting negative numbers for files sizes. It is my understanding that the du utility is largefile compatible.

Thanks...

How big are the files, and what type of filesystem are you checking?

Found the problem.
The OS on the system (SCO OpenServer(TM) Release 5)
There was indeed a file in excess of 2 gig on the system. Appears to be a corrupt file.
Deleted file, cleared problem.
Still unclear as to whether or not a "-" in front of the output of du is considered a normal output.
Thanks for the help....
